OVERVIEW

  1. Hunt durations vary and are typically between 7 and 22 days.
  2. Every day at 10am the circle will shrink.
  3. The trail cam image updates every 30 minutes, or sooner if motion is detected.
  4. Daily hints are posted to the website at 10am each morning and emailed shortly after. Hints types vary by hunt and by day. Some hint types feature imagery, written clues, or maps.
  5. The first person to touch the treasure wins. You must be signed up for a free or paid account to claim prizes.

PARTICIPATION

  1. In order to receive the prize (treasure + reward), participants must be 18 years of age or older and a citizen of the United States residing in a state that permits participation in games of skill. Users must provide their state of residence on signup to verify they are from an eligible state.
  2. To claim the prize, the treasure must be acquired peacefully. Anyone who attempts to possess the treasure in a non-peaceful manner will be banned from the game and denied the prize.
  3. Participants have 30 days from time of discovery to claim the prize. If a prize is unclaimed after 30 days, a new hunt will take place within the bounds of the original circle and all participants from the original hunt will automatically be entered.
  4. You DO NOT have to pay for daily hints to be eligible to collect the prize.
  5. You DO have to register an account on this site to collect the prize.

PRIZES

  1. The “treasure” is the hidden object and its predetermined prize equivalent. Physical treasures are proxies and have no inherent monetary value. A value is assigned to the treasure prior to the start of the hunt. That value may be monetary, tickets to an event, swag, or any other type of prize as indicated on each hunt page.
  2. The “reward” is a growing prize pool of money comprising half of each member’s sign-up fee. The finder of the treasure also receives the reward.
  3. Upon discovery, the finder will find a set of simple instructions to follow to obtain the prizes, including how to contact VEIL to share the treasure’s code and confirm their identity.
